RBC Bridges Soundstreams

I am very happy to announce that I have been chosen as one of the composers for this year’s RBC Bridges Soundstreams program. This year the focus is around choral music, and attendees will be composing a piece for an 8-piece vocal ensemble. Very excited to begin working on this piece!

I am very excited to announce that I have been selected as one of six composers for this year’s PIVOT Program, run by the Canadian League of Composers. This year they will be partnering with the premiere vocal group from Edmonton Alberta, Pro Coro Canada. I am eager to begin this choral journey as a part of this program.

Returning for Doctorate at UofT

Very happy to announce that I will be returning to the University of Toronto to pursue my doctoral degree, studying under Dr. Eliot Britton. My research will be focused around MIDI technology’s impact on compositional practice. Looking forward to this opportunity to learn and grow over the next four years.

MCML 2018 Summer Program

I was extremely excited to attend this summer’s Montreal Creative Music Lab, where I had the opportunity to work with two amazing musicians, Ana Mora on Piano and Fanton Clerc on Violin. I was involved in creating the piece Fantasia | Aphantasia, which explored the neurological condition known as Aphantasia — where one does not possess a functioning mind’s eye.

'A Walk Through the Woods'

I had the pleasure of being invited to take part in a multi-composer commission project by Central Bucks High School-West, lead by the incredible Joseph Ohrt. The project commissioned 15 Toronto-based composers to create a piece on the theme of social consciousness in the global environment. I selected the poem ‘The Way Through The Woods’ by Rudyard Kipling for my piece, and was extremely pleased with the choir’s sensitive and nuanced performance. Take a listen below!
