I am very honoured to have been chosen to represent the UofT at the Trieste Conservatory, in Trieste, Italy. I will be having my piano trio performed at their week-long composer symposium, and will be working with composers and performers throughout the week. I should hopefully be sharing a recording of my piano trio with you all when I return. Ciao!

I am excited to announce that I have won the 2017 Exultate Chamber Choir Choral Composition Competition for my piece entitled: The Winter Lakes. This piece is and ode to my new home: ‘Ontario’. I seek to capture the exquisite natural beauty of its landscapes, and people in this piece.

So excited that the film score I was working on for the film, Echoes in the Ice is heading to the Cannes Film Festival, through the Telefilm program: ‘Not Short on Talent’. Thanks to BJ Verot and Brad Crawford for involving me in this intense film!

I am honoured to be composing music for KickingTire’s upcoming short film, entitled: ‘The 12th’. This suspenseful thriller has been a ton of fun to work on, and a great learning experience. Thanks to Patrick Hodgson for asking me to be involved in this project. The film will be premiering in May 2017 at the Revue Cinema! More updates to follow.

I’m really pumped to be taking part in the great Opera from Scratch residency in Halifax this year, running from August 20th-29th. An opera I’ve written about the Canadian WW2 Heroine, Mona Parsons, will be performed by solo soprano, piano, and live electronics.
